West Campus Freezer Farm
Located in room 108 of the Advanced Biosciences Center is the West Campus Freezer Farm and Cryogenic Storage. This space will provide additional freezer support space for each of the five health science institutes (Cancer Biology, Microbial Sciences, Molecular Design & Discovery, Nanobiology, and Systems Biology).
The Revco model UXF40086A with exterior dimensions of 32” (w) x 42” (d) was used as the basis of design. This allowed us to maximize the space to house enough freezers to satisfy institute needs. The room is well equipped with emergency power, card reader access, supplemental cooling, and the university temperature monitoring application Aeroscout.
